Shortly about me

One of my biggest challenges that I am currently facing is how to raise my son with Japanese influence in Germany. As a Japanese woman who lives far away from her hometown in Tokyo must be more challenging than any other mothers whose parents and family are often nearby. But at the same time I take it as my lifelong challenge and as a great opportunity for my son to get influenced by multicultual environment in Germany.

This is one of the reasons I have started my social and cultual activities, especially focusing on German-Japanese relations.

One of my favorite Japanese terms:

                     会 (Ichi-go Ichi-e)

"Ichi-go Ichi-e" literally means "Every encounter happens only once." or “Treasure every encounter, for it will never recur.” The term is derived from Zen Buddhism and the concept is particularly associated with the Japanese tea ceremony in 16th century. At this occasion "Ichi-go Ichi-e" reminds participants that each single tea meeting is unique that will never recur in one’s lifetime, therefore, each moment should be treated with the utmost sincerity.

Yes, all is once in lifetime, so I want to make the most of every minutes and appreciate the encounter with the people who added sparkle to my life. My encounter with them has been a treasure in my heart.
